Middle Schoolers, High Schoolers and adults can serve in Children's Ministry. Service in this area is reserved for covenant members, or those currently pursuing membership. Any person serving must first complete a national background check and be interviewed by a member of our staff. For consistency of care, we ask volunteers to commit to one of two ministry seasons: September-May (school year), or June-August (summer). Here are some of the areas where you can serve:
Nursery
Must be at least high school age. Caring for and praying for babies in the infant nursery, some teaching for toddler nursery.
Elementary Sunday School
There are three roles volunteers can fill for elementary sunday school:
- Lead teacher - serves as the primary instructor to the children and also provides mentoring to the helpers under his/her care. We have two teachers per classroom, so that volunteers can share teaching duties.
- Small Group Leader - assists the lead teacher in teaching and nurturing the children and leads a small group of children each week in prayer and application of the lesson.
- Worship Leader - leads children in singing, scripture memory, and hearing a mission story.
